New Full-Time Firefighter: This morning the Fire Commission voted to offer the full-time vacancy to Jake Cole.  Jake has accepted.  We will set his start date soon.

Blood Drive: Tomorrow, 0900-1400 at the station.

Open House: Tuesday, Oct 6, 1800-2000 at the station.

GMFRA: Meeting rescheduled for Monday, Oct 5th 1900.

BLS Firefighter Course: We are hosting this Monday, 1800-2100 and on Wednesday 1800-2100.

Duchesne Family:  Mr. Duchesne is now at New England Rehab.  I spoke with his wife yesterday. I asked her if there was anything that she needed help with. She said a ride to Portland. So, I told to when she needs a ride to visit her husband, call the fire station. We'd be happy to give her a ride. I've placed more details on the bulletin board in Ops.

Ladder 82:  We may have a lead on rotors for the ladder truck. East Coast is awaiting work on price and availability from E-One.

Station Generator:  The generator is not working.  Should we loose power, the overhead doors will have to be operated manually.  Portable radios and cellphones for communication with fire alarm wil  have to be used.  I have asked YC EMA if there is a generator available should we need one. I got a "maybe"  If need bey, we'd have to call the YC EMA.
