OPEN SHIFTS: March: Friday 3/18 0700-1900; April: Sunday 4/17 0700-1900.

Maine LODD:  Captain Peter Larlee of the East Millinocket FD, died in the line of duty on Thursday 3/3/16. Within one hour of responding on a medical emergency run, Captain Larlee went into the fire department's engine bay to fix a mud flap on an ambulance. Within two minutes of going into the bay and while on the bay floor, Larlee fell ill.  Captain Larlee was treated by fellow Firefighters and EMS, but passed away at the scene from injuries sustained. Firefighter honors for Captain Larlee will be held on March 5th at Calvary Temple Church in East Millinocket.

Annual Physical Agility Test: Tuesday, March 8th at 1830.  The event will be PPE Dodge Ball! This is a mandatory event. Make up date is Friday, March 18th 0900. I will be attending the make up. So if you'd like to throw things at me....

Annual Core Training, Respiratory Physicals:  We have a small handful of folks who haven't completed these requirements yet. Please get this done ASAP. After March 31st, I will have to suspend those who have not completed this BLS requirement.  If you're not sure where you stand with this, please contact your company officer.

Banquet: The banquet will be held on April 16th at the Ramada in Saco. Social will be from 17:00 to 17:45, followed by dinner, awards and dancing. As in the past, members will be free and guests will be $25:00. Room rates are $70 if you plan on staying overnight. Tell them you are with Goodwin's Mills Fire. Sign up sheet  will be posted shortly and the cut off date will be April 5th.

Nomination papers for Outstanding Association Member are in your mailbox. Please complete and return to the GMFRA mailbox before April 1st.

Water Rescue Class at Goodwins Mills: April 9th we'll be hosting a water rescue class put on by Life Saving Resources.

Maine State Weekend at the NFA; May 13-15.  Flyer is on the bulletin board and on the website.
March 26 is the registration deadline.

Special Election: March 29th.
The Town of Dayton will be having a special election on March 29 for State Senate District 32.  Voting will be from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.  Absentee ballots are now available at the Town Office.

The Town of Lyman's Special State Election - District 32 Election on March 29th at the Lyman Town Hall. Absentee ballots available till March 24th
