----
LT PHIL DANIELS:  When you see Lt Daniels, give him a big thank you!  He did a terrific job organizing the car wash which brought in over $1,000 for the association. He's organized and prepared the lobster dinner for this Sunday.  He's gone well above and beyond for all of us!

----
FIREFIGHTER CANCER/CLEAN YOUR GEAR:  Cancer among Firefighters has been a problem for generations. Studies have shown that we are at a great risk of cancer from our turnout gear. We never clean it! The carcinogens that it protects us from are still on the exterior of our gear long after the fire. We must start conducting "gross decon" after each fire. Wash the debris off your gear either on scene or with the garden hose at the station. Helmet, coat, pants, hood and gloves.  If you think it's cool or macho, or  makes you look "salty" to have ash and soot all over your gear, your wrong. You may be killing yourself.
