Weekly Update for Friday, February 20, 2015.

Great job by all involved in yesterday's fire on Ruel Lane in Dayton. All tolled we had 18 respond from our department. A surprising number considering the time of day. We did have one injury. A FF received a serious cut on the left thumb. This occurred while clearing glass from a window. The glass cut through his structural glove and into his thumb. Our first arrival was hampered by snow covered road and a steep hill. Theoretically, the on-spot chains should've helped out in this situation.  We don't use on-spots all that often. I encourage everyone to check them out. Get a look at them operating and drive with them operating to get the feel. Considering the amount of snow around there should be plenty of places to test them out.

Blood Drive: Kudos to FF Chris Ray for organizing another successful blood drive. The Red Cross was able to collect 29 pints.
