Lifepak 15's: We have seen problems with receiving noisy data while attempting to obtain 12 lead ECG with Rescue 85's LP15. The service technician was in earlier this week. He did leave a new set of cables to try.  Currently,  the LP has the new cables on it and the original cables are placed into the side pocket unattached.  Please make every attempt to do a 12 lead on any patient and document problems in a work order.  Also if time permits try to swap the cables mid call to help rule in or out a cable issue.  Please feel free to contact Lt Daniels or Captain Duross  with good or bad experiences with the Lifepacs.

Cover Kennebunk: Kennebunk has asked if we can send a Rescue to cover their station during their awards banquet on Friday, September 11 from 1800-2200.  I have one EMT who's volunteered, just I need one EVO1 to drive. Please give me a call or text if you can help out.

Basic Fire School: We're hosting the class Wednesday, 9/9. Lt Sarto is the lead instructor.

Dayton Days: September 12, 1400-1700. We're planning on doing an LP Gas demo.  We're going to need about 13 people to pull this off. Hose teams, apparatus operators, etc. LT Daniels is heading this up and sign up is on the bulletin board.   Also, the association will be set up and the Juniors will be operating the smoke house.

YCCA Fire School: September 26 & 28. Flyer is on the bulletin board. Please get your training requests in ASAP.

Ladder 82: Is out for maintenance until further notice.

Station Generator: It's out of service. Not sure if it's repairable. Rod's Electric will be in this week to look at it. I'm looking through government surplus for a replacement.

Fire Prevention Week: October 4-10.  We're going to hold an open house on October 6th. 1800-2000. We need to plan some events. If anyone has ideas please give me or Captain Lang call.

Next Blood Drive: Saturday, October 3rd.

Coffee Break Training: Motor Vehicle Crash Injuries Are Frequent and Costly. Some pretty interesting nation-wide statistics on Motor Vehicle Crashes. http://www.usfa.fema.gov/downloads/pdf/coffee-break/cr/cr_2015_8.pdf

Use of POV responding to calls: In the most recent issue of USFA's "InfoGram" the lead article is "Guide for Responding to Emergencies Using POVs.  The National Volunteer Fire Council has published a new pamphlet regarding this topic. "Let's Make A Difference"  Many of the recommendations in this policy are contained on our policy on POV use. Our Directive 2303  is something we all should be familiar with.

Acres of Wildlife campground in Steep Falls, Maine, is hosting its first Firefighter’s Appreciation Weekend, September 18-20, 2015. Acres of Wildlife has discounted their campsites to $20 per night.  Part of the weekend will include a Firefighter’s Muster on Saturday, the 19th, starting at 12:30 pm.  Also, the campground will be hosting a Bluegrass Festival.
