CONGRATULATIONS: To Jake and Kathleen Cole on the birth of Dawson's new baby sister Delilah!  Born 7/18, 1816 7lbs15oz 22in.  And Jake will never eat in front if his hungry wife ever.

NEW MEMBER: I want to welcome back Skip Edwin to the Fire-Police. Skip was a Fire-Police member a few years ago and has decided to get back involved.

LAST SUNDAY: Great job to everyone who helped out in Waterboro and to those of you who covered our station. In today's mail I received a nice thank you letter from Chief Bors. When you all to out of town you represent our community well.

SECOND QUARTER REPORT:  My operatoins report for the 2nd quarter 2017, is posted on the website and a copy is in Ops.

TURNOUT GEAR in AMBULANCE:  Our new ambulance has a special compartment just for turnout gear. Please do not store gear in the patient compartment.
----
FIREFIGHTER CODE OF ETHICS: "Responsibly use social networking, electronic communications, or other media technology opportunities in a manner that does not discredit, dishonor or embarrass my organization, the fire service and the public. I also understand that failure to resolve or report inappropriate use of this media equates to condoning this behavior.”  Social media is a great tool and can be a lot of fun.  It can also be damaging. Think before you post!

OUT OF TOWN:  I plan to take a short vacation next week. Many of our department will be out of town. Assistant Chief Harris will have the conn. (That's a Navy thing.)

WATER COOLER:  It appears that LT Daniels has the water jug availability back on track.
----
STUDENT MOVE-IN: The new students will be moving in next weekend. Thier orientation will be the first week in August and off to hte Academy for them on August 7th.

DRIVERS NEEDED:  I need an EVO2 on August 8th and on August 22nd to take an engine to the Academy for the day. Please contact the Deputy.

LIFEFLIGHT GROUND CLASS:  Wednesday, August 2nd here at GMFR we will host a ground class put on by Lifeflight.  I do believe they will be flying the helo in.
----
WATER RESCUE EQUIPMENT: In this year's budget we have funding to upgrade our water rescue equipment. The Deputy is organizing a working group to look over equipment, put lists together, check pricing, etc. If you have an interest in this, please let the Deputy know.
----
Events Next Week: Thursday; Joint Select Board meeting at Dayton Town Hall 1930. Friday Traffic Control Training at 1900.  I don't see any company meetings listed for July.
----
