-----
Ladder 82:  We're almost there. Waiting on hose bed covers to come in. We can start training on the truck now. The Training Officer will soon be scheduling a Train-the-Trainer for current EVO3's.
-----
EMS Storeroom:  We need to tighten up a bit on our inventory control.  There was an appearance that things were missing from the EMS supply closet. Most items were things we don't use very often, BVMs for example. AChf Duross took a look at the items missing and compared them to call types we've had lately. It appears, we've had an unusually high run on calls that we normally have in low numbers. This was an unusual trend for us. I was very pleased that FF Guillemette is on top of what we're using and how often. And that we had the data available so the Assistant Chief could identify a trend and see the problem.  I do want to recognize these types of trends earlier. So we are going to implement an EMS Supply Log. More to come on that soon.
-----
Roll-up Drills: February 17. A sign up is on the bulletin board. We will be training at our house on Maddox Farm Rd.
-----
Saco's Fire on Jan. 31st:  I had a conversation with Chief Duross earlier this week. We talked about many things, and of course the Seaside Ave fire.  He spoke very highly of the performance of everyone who responded to that call. Given the brutal cold, there was no whining or complaining. Everyone just got it all done. If you get a compliment from Chief John Duross, it was earned.
He was specifically mentioned two firefighters who were literally on all-fours in 18 inches of ice water decoupling a 5 inch line. Those two firefighters were our 2 live-in students.
