LAST SUNDAY'S TRAINING: I want to thank Captains Daniels and Martin for organizing a great event. And a big thanks to the crew that engineered the burn room. It held up quite well. We got a lot of good training done that day and it was a great opportunity to train with our mutual aid partners.
------
WATCH DESK MONITOR: A monitor has been set up in the watch desk to monitor the Fire Danger Class Day posted on the Forest Service's website. Also, a list of issued active burning permits is displayed. Check it out.
------
APRIL CEHs: The April online CEH's and Quizes have been e-mailed out. Please finish the training and SIGN the roster located in Capt Daniel's mailbox, put quiz there as well. There are copies of the quiz in Capt Daniel's mailbox too. Due date May 1st.
------
EPINEPHRINE SHORTAGE: I have been informed that there is a shortage of the Epinephrine 1mg/10ml abbojects that we use for cardiac arrest patients. SMHC will begin replacing these when used or expiring with a plastic bag containing a vial of Epinephrine 1mg/1ml, a 10ml vial of Saline, and a 10cc syringe. We'll be advised when SMHC will begin socking the abbojects again.

-------
NOTIFICATIONS: I've update Directive 2301, which lists situations when either the Duty Chief or Fire Chief need to be notified. One such event is when someone calls out of a scheduled shift. Others include injuries, equipment status, etc. The directive and a notifications matrix are on the bulletin board and in Ops.
------
FIRE-POLICE: A few months ago three qualification levels for fire police were established. Directive 2219. I'm happy to announce that John Leemen is the first to have achieved qualification as an Advanced Fire-Police Specialist. As you all are aware, Fire-Police are the ones who keep the rest of us safe on the road-side. We need to recruit more fire-police. If you know of anyone who is competent and dependable please have them contact FPS Leeman or DChf Harris.
