OPEN SHIFTS: Saturday 8/5 0700-1900. October 17, 1900-1900. November 18, 1900-1900. November 26, 0700-1900. December 24, 0700-1900. December 31, 0700-1900.

Resignations: Amanda Demeule has given her resignation for family reasons. Amanda served on the department for 11 years.  Curtis Huff has also resigned. Curtis has moved out of town.  I want to thank both of  them for their years of service to our community.

New Members: FF Jamie Mouzas is cleared for interior firefighting. Next step is to get him driving pumpers. Sean McDonough will be coming on in an admin/non-responder role. He will be assisting Capt Harris with EMS QA, customer surveys and other community outreach projects. Emily Schatz has come aboard as part of our volunteer observer program. Emily is a B-EMT and a student at Colby College. She will be doing ride time with us periodically. Dominick Small is back. Dom is a former Junior and is back with us under our volunteer observer program. Hopefully, we can get Dom into the BLS class or the FF 1 & 2 Academy this winter.

Basic Fire School: Starts August 24th. The deadline for applications has passed.  We are hosting September 9th and October 5th and 7th. LT Sarto is the lead instructor and I'm sure he would welcome some help.

Engine 83: We should have it back early this week. Still on track for an in service date of August 8th. Provided, our EVO2's get their qual sheets completed by then.

Defibrillators: Financing documents are ready for Selectman's signature. Hope to have this wrapped up by August 10th. Then I'll order a pair of Lifepak 15's. I hope to have them in service by August 15th. I want to thank everyone who provided input and help with the comparison of the Zoll and Lifepak. We had some very good discussions, did a lot of research and I think we all learned a few things in the process.

Dayton Days: September 12th at Dayton school. This year along with having apparatus on display,  I'd like to do some sort of a demo. Jaws of Life or the propane tree, something along those lines. If anyone has any ideas, let's talk.

Sausage in Old Orchard Beach;  Looks like OOBFD is going to be heaving into sausage.....
