ATV Operator Class:  April 9th at Buxton Station 1, Northeast Ambulance will be holding an ATV Operator's Safety Course.

Firefighter Fatality Report:  NIOSH has published it's investigative report of 19 year old volunteer firefighter killed LODD. The incident occurred in  December 2015.  https://www.cdc.gov/niosh/fire/reports/face201520.html

MX207 Familiarization Training: On Saturday April 8th MX207 will be hosting a class for us to familiarize ourselves with the track, discuss operating procedures for calls at MX207. We'll also be getting some training on removing the gear worn by the riders. Waterboro FD and Northeast Ambulance will also be attending.

ICS 300 and 400:  These classes will be provided at YCEMA in Alfred in April. The flyers are on our website and on the bulletin board.  ICS300 is a requirement for promotion to, or in grade as a captain. ICS 400 is a requirement for promotion to, or in grade as a Chief Officer. (Directive 2215)

ICS 200: This course is available on-line through the NFA. ICS200 is a self-paced on-line course. It is a requirement for promotion to Lieutenant.  https://apps.usfa.fema.gov/nfacourses/catalog/details/519

ICS 100 and 700.A: These courses are required for all first responders. ICS 100 can be found at  https://apps.usfa.fema.gov/nfacourses/catalog/details/518   and ICS 700.A is at
https://training.fema.gov/is/courseoverview.aspx?code=IS-700.a   These are both self-paced and on-line. These must be completed prior to end of probation.  If you haven't done these classes please do so ASAP.

Ladder 82:  It's back at the station and remains out of service.  It needs a cert test before any more damage estimates can be made. It's scheduled to go back to East Coast for testing on April 24th.

Ambulance 86: The goal is to get A86 in service on April 1st.  So far 11 people have completed the training. We still have the ALS gear remaining to load. Some tools need to get mounted. Overall, things are coming together.  If you haven't done so yet, please get the training done asap.

Banquet and A86 Ceremony: April 15th.  1300 for the dedication ceremony. 1800 for the banquet at the Ramada Inn.

BLS/ALS Skills Lab in Kennebunk: Kennebunk Fire/EMS will be holding an ALS/BLS skills lab on Saturday, April 8th from 9am - 4pm. 3 hours BLS Skills and 3 hours ALS Skills will be awarded. Class is limited to 25 students. If interested in attending, you must sigh up with John Brady at Kennebunk Fire, jbrady@kennebunkmaine.us
