OPEN SHIFTS: APRIL: Fri 4/7, Sat 4/15. MAY: Mon 5/8, Tue 5/16. JUNE: Wed 6/7, Sat 6/10, Thu 6/15, Fri 6/23. All 0700-1900.

Ambulance 86: Is now in service.  If you haven't completed the orientation training on the new truck, please do so ASAP.  A86 is front line, A85 is back-up.  I want to thank everyone involved in getting it in service. Great job!

Car Wash:  The GMRFA car wash scheduled for this weekend has been cancelled due to the storm.

Squad 87: The squad has been redesignated "Forestry 87" effective today.

Service Medical Director:  Dr. Robert Brown, D.O.  has come onboard as our very own Service Medical Director (SMD). Dr. Brown is an attending physician at Southern Maine Health Care and is board certified in emergency medicine. Many of you have already worked with Dr Brown at SMHC ER or via on-line medical control. He is a Major in the Army Reserve and was recently assigned as the Chief Medical Officer for the 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, NY.  He is a licensed Paramedic in Maine. He's worked on United Ambulance and is a prior Chief of Limington Fire & EMS.  His role as our Medical Director will be to oversee EMS quality assurance & improvement, provide EMS training as well as EMS SOG review and development.  Please join me in welcoming him onboard.

BANQUET: Reminder to sign up and have money to Lt. Martin by APRIL 5th. He needs a head count for the event staff. Overnight rooms are available by calling the Ramada. 286-9600

EMS Planning Team:  To build a true QA/QI process we are going to need a group of senior providers at each license level to assist the SMD with reviewing calls. I am going to be recruiting some help in this area. If you're interested in helping with the QA/QI process, please contact AChf Harris.

Radio Call Signs:  Effective March 31st, our rescues are redesignated as "ambulance" 85 & 86. The squad is redesigned as "Forestry 87".

FIT Testing:  Several people still need to get this done. Please do so ASAP.

Inspection Training Day: April 19th 0830-1500 at West Kennebunk FD.
This day will include speakers/instructors from the: State Fire Marshal’s Office – Ron Peaslee;
Department of Agriculture – Ronda Stone; State Liquor Enforcement – Laurence Sanborn or Tony Austin; Maine Fuel Board - Peter Holmes and Ray Stanford.

FF2 ACADEMY CAR FIRES CLASS:  Looking for a driver for Engine 84 to support this class on April 22nd.

March Training:  We had two very well attended training events in March. Last Tuesday night's drill scenarios right to the point. That's the type of training we need to do more of.  A big thanks to our company officers for organizing those events.

April Training:
MX207: April 8th, a sign up is on the bulletin board.
ATV Operator: April 9th, a sign up is on the bulletin board.
Kennebunk: There are several training opportunities in Kennebunk this month. KFR has an acquired structure to train at. Classes, dates and sign up is posted on the bulletin board.

Events Next Week: Tuesday 1900 GMFRA, Wednesday 1830 Joint Select Boards, Budget Committees and Fire Commission, Thursday 1830 All Officers.
