School Fire Prevention Visits:  I want to thank Captain Lang and everyone who helped out at the Lyman and Dayton Schools this past week. Each school has posted some really cool pics on their facebook pages. We made a short visit to Kaleidoscope Day Care in Dayton only to be interrupted by a building fire.  The kids enjoyed seeing the crew gear up and head out.  We've rescheduled the visit.
-----
....and regarding the building fire.....Engine 83 was out for maintenance, E84 & A85 with crews were at the daycare visit.  Engine 81 was first on scene. It's been a very long time since Engine 81 has been first due to a working fire. On arrival we had a grease fire on the stove. Damage was very minimal. Stove, microwave and some cabinets. AChf Duross and FF Boucher did a very good job to quickly extinguish the fire.
-----
Passing of LT Jim Dore:  Thanks to everyone who attended the service for Jim. The family was very thankful.

-----
I will be out of town this weekend.

Stay safe,
Chief
