OPEN SHIFTS: June: Sun 6/16 0700-1900. Tue 6/25 0700-1900 and 1900-0700. Wed 6/26 0700-1900. Fri 6/28 0700-1900 and 1900-0700.  July: Wed 7/3 0700-1900 and 1900-0700. Thu 7/4 0700-1900 and 1900-0700. Sat 7/6 0700-1900 and 1900-0700.

MEMORIAL DAY EVENTS: Thank you to everyone who helped get things ready.  Flags through the village, cemetery flags, trucks cleaned up, etc.  The Chaplain did a terrific job as MC. The main event had to be Lily Harris and her rendition of the Star Spangled Banner. WOW!

CONGRATULATIONS: FF Guillemette has accepted a position with the Saco Fire Dept. Sandy will be remaining with us on a per diem basis. I will be posting the vacancy next week.

M&M ROUNDS: No these aren't chocolate candies.  Dr. Brown is going to start holding M&M Rounds with our EMS providers to discuss medical calls, trends in EMS, etc. The first session will be on June 25th.

STUDENT DRAFT: Capt Martin and FF Fowlie are selecting our students for next year. The draft starts tonight and ends tomorrow afternoon.

GRADUATION BBQ: June 4 at 1730. The Deputy has sent out an email and a list of things to bring.

FIRE ACADEMY GRADUATIONS: June 18 at 1900 at Sanford High School. Classes graduating are: YC Firefighter I and II, NB Firefighter I and II, SRTC Firefighter I and II, Basic Fire Officer, Fire Instructor I and II, Fire Investigator. Class A uniform, or equivalent.

CALL VOLUME:  We've run on 299 calls year to date. We're about 27 calls behind this point last year. At this point last spring we'd had 10 grass/brush fires. This year we've had 1. Last year we had 44 calls for storm damage. This past winter we had 8 storm damage calls. Interestingly though, we've treated 208 patients, about 28 more than this point last year.

BUSIEST TIMES in May:
May 2018: Busiest day of the week: Saturday. Busiest hour of the day: 1400.  Total calls: 67.
May 2019: Busiest day of the week: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are tied. Busiest hour of the day: 1100. Total calls: 60.

BASIC FIRE SCHOOL:  Week 3 starts Monday.

OFFICERS MEETING: June 6 at 1830.

TOWN MEETINGS: Lyman Wednesday June 12 at 1830 at Lyman School. Dayton Thursday June 13 at 1900 at Dayton Town Hall.

PER DIEM TEMPLETED SHIFTS:  If you hold a templeted (scheduled) per diem shift, or want a templeted per diem shift, you are required to have three of these four skill sets FF, EMT, EVO2, be an appointed officer. If you are missing one of these quals, June 30 is the deadline to complete qualifications. Please contact me if you have questions.
