Congratulations to FF/EMT Tyler Richardson who has met the requirements for promotion to Lead Firefighter. This promotion is effective 7/9/2019.
From General Notice 16-1666: In January 2019, the Fire Commission approved the full-time position of Lead Firefighter (LFF) in Regulation 1105. Chief's Directive 2112 section 5.4 is the job description for Lead Firefighter. It is a non-officer line rank with supervisory responsibilities. Chief's Directive 2218 sets the training, education and experience requirements to be met for selection to the rank of Lead Firefighter.

PAT: I want to thank everyone who helped out with running the PAT on Friday and again this morning. We tested 14 people. There will be a make up PAT at 0900 on Tuesday, 7/16 for those remaining to be tested.

Staging: I've written some on this topic in past blogs recently. I consider this a Responder Safety matter. I am in the process of writing an SOG for staging. Staging at the station is perfectly acceptable. That needs to be considered in all staging calls. Especially if the the state police hasn't even arrived on scene yet. Stage no closer than one mile from the scene. Make sure fire alarm knows where you are staged at.

Clinical PEARLS: Dr Brown is going to begin posting via e-mail clinical pearls on a quarterly basis.
His first was sent yesterday and the topic is TXA or Tranexamic Acid.
