RECOVERING: FP John Leeman is recovering from surgery last week. I hear he's doing well and should be back in-service soon.
-----
FORESTRY 87:  The adjuster has said the truck in not repairable. I am waiting on that "official" word from the insurance company.  Captains Johnston and Martin are working on a plan to relocate F87's equipage between E83 and E81. More to follow on that.  As far as a replacement, I will be discussing that with the Fire Commission on Thursday. In the near term, we will be forming a committee to look at options.
-----
LADDER 82: It will be going out for body work (corrosion repair) first week of September. It will be out for at least 3 weeks.
-----
WATERBORO LADDER 1: Is back in service.
-----
OFFICER VACANCY:  A company officer (Lieutenant) position is vacant. TOG 3910-19 is posted on the bulletin board. Application deadline is August 30th.
------
POTABLE WATER: I am still working on the problem. Three vendors have been in to look at our set up. I'm waiting on estimates now.
----
FIRE SCHOOL: York County Fire School is the weekend of September 28 and 29. A flyer is on the bulletin board or at www.yorkcountychiefs.org   My recommendations for some of our senior EVO2 and 3's is the Advanced Pumps Course. For our new Firefighter's (Basic, I and II)  I suggest either the VES class or the "Mask Mastery" class.
-----
CALL VOLUME: I just the first 15 days of August we've run 59 calls. Our typical 30-day month is 50 calls.   We've run 520 calls, year to day. 513 at this point last year.
-----
SMHC BIDDEFORD RADIO: From Dr Schmitz:  SMHC has a loaner radio currently in use at the Biddeford campus. It will be used for the next four - five weeks. At which time a new radio will be installed. In the interim, if there is difficulty reaching the hospital by radio, then please call 294-5000 and ask to speak with a nurse. As always, the number for medical control at the Biddeford campus is 294-5905.
